Tigger Tail Winnie-the-Pooh Cupcakes Snack

Tigger is one of my favorite characters! He’s fun, bubbly, and always in a happy mood. Here are some cupcakes inspired by this bright and happy character. You can use these delicious treats for a class party, or as a snack to go with the movie. Plus, they’re easy enough for kids to help out with!

Ingredients:

  • 12 of your favorite chocolate (or other flavor) cupcakes
  • 8 oz. white fondant, divided
  • 5-6 drops yellow gel food coloring, divided
  • 3 drops red gel food coloring
  • Cornstarch for rolling
  • Small bowl of water
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 2 cups icing sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • Black decorating icing

If you baked your own chocolate cupcakes, make sure that they are completely cool before you start decorating them.

Take 5 oz. of your white fondant and color with 2-3 drops of yellow gel food coloring. Knead until fondant is completely colored (you can put cornstarch on your fingers to avoid sticking!).

On a clean space, sprinkle some cornstarch to prevent sticking on your counter. Add cornstarch to a rolling pin and roll out your fondant so that it’s about ¼ of an inch thick.

Using a circular cookie cutter that’s about 3″ in diameter, cut out 12 fondant circles. Set them aside.

Color your remaining 3 oz. of white fondant with 3 drops of yellow and 3 drops of red. Knead until completely tinted.

Roll into 1 inch spheres and shape into longer cylinders, about 3 inches in length and half an inch wide.

Give each cylinder a little curl and place water on the back. Stick one onto each of your yellow fondant circles.

Using a stand mixer, beat together the butter, icing sugar and milk on slow. Slowly increase the speed to high. These ingredients will make up your buttercream frosting. You’ll know it’s done when your ingredients are well-combined, smooth, and form semi-stiff peaks.

Apply buttercream frosting on each cupcake with an offset spatula. Carefully place the tails onto each cupcake. Enjoy them!
