Sound of Freedom is the true story of Tim Ballard, a former government operative who left his job at Homeland Security to create the nonprofit Operation Underground Railroad.
This movie guide examines some of the myths and realities of human trafficking and discussion based on the movie.
NOTE: This guide is intended to educate students on the realities of human trafficking in a fact-based manner. Learn in Color does not support conspiracy theories or fear-mongering. Operation Underground Railroad, which the movie Sound of Freedom is based on, received controversy after a conspiracy group hijacked their popular hashtag, #SaveOurChildren. Learn in Color does not support these unproven conspiracies. Trafficking is a real, global problem that affects individuals worldwide and we believe these wild conspiracies take away from identifying the real signs of trafficking.

Thank you so much for providing this! I truly appreciate it. My husband and I took our 2 oldest daughters to watch this film in theaters and it was such an eye opener. They were shocked at how many innocent children are trafficked daily and how horribly they suffer – so scary! They also now understand why we are so overprotective of them and are always telling them to be aware of their surroundings, etc.
I plan on sharing this on my Facebook page, so others can print this out and work through it with their kids. It’s the perfect opportunity to have an extremely important discussion.
Again, thank you for creating this! God bless! 🙂
Thank you, Patricia!!
