Tired of spending the day mindlessly memorizing schoolwork, only for a test?

Yep, me too.

Are you wanting your kids and students to actually learn with purpose?

Welcome to Learn in Color, where learning matters!

My mission is simple: get kids excited about their education. No more empty memorizing for tests, no more lifeless textbooks, no more busy work.

Hi! I’m Samantha Shank, MSEd. I grew up using math in real life and studying history with books and movies. And I love learning.

When I was 14 years old, I created Learn in Color as a way to share my homeschool experiences with others. Along the way, I developed a passion for making learning easier for students AND parents!

Nearly eight years later, this blog has reached over six million people and Learn in Color’s resources have been used in all 50 states. At the age of 20, I graduated from college early and debt-free. I work as a graphic designer.

After receiving scholarship money from the Miss Indiana Organization, I decided to pursue a master's certificate. I ended up learning so much from my classes at Purdue University that I decided to finish my degree. I hold a MSEd in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Gifted Education.

Unprofessionally, I'm a bibliophile and WWII historian. When not blogging, I can be found attempting to cook or trying to speak Spanish or Hebrew.
