I’ve been working out more, and have been on the hunt for a solid Christian workout playlist. Unfortunately, a lot of the playlists I came across tended to be on the slower side. As I’m trying to run at over 6mph, upbeat music is a must to keep me going, so I created my own playlist!
All of the following songs are cleaninspirational and upbeat. Grab your iPod and jam out in your next workout!

  1. Thanks for sharing this, Samantha. Most would probably give a funny look when suggesting Christian songs for workout music. But what better way to get motivated to be healthy than with an inspirational song, right?

  2. Mattisyahu has great music for working out – Live like a warrior, Jerusalem, Sunshine… and if you know Hebrew you’ll really appreciate his music. His is a reggae-rap type music, but all of the songs I’ve listened to by him have a religious aspect to them. Not saying all of his songs are that way, but the 15 I’ve listened to are…. 🙂

    • LOVE Matisyahu! My favorite by him is definitely Miracle…can’t get enough of that song! Also love the ones you mentioned, Jerusalem being my #2 favorite.
And I do think all of his songs have some mention of Judaism or at least obviously come from a strong Jewish perspective.

      Thanks for stopping by!

  3. Just found this wonderful list. Clicked on your playlist for grooveshark to make it simple, but grooveshark just recently shutdown. Will you be putting these songs on another playlist somewhere that you could share with us? Thanks.

  4. Andy Mineo! You are doing it wrong if he isn’t on your list! Just kidding of course, but his songs are clean, Christian rap that inspires running and movement. I recommend Uno Uno Seis, When the Saints Go Marching, and Ayo!

  5. Hey Samantha! Thank you so much for compiling this great list of Christian songs to workout to 🙂 I loved it so much that I included you and a link to this list in my most recent post about the importance of fitness for Christian women. I pray that God will continue to use you and your ministry in a way that glorifies Him! Blessings!
